And on the anniversary of our wedding I would also like to celebrate the completion of our kitchen!!! Three long long months later we are finally done. And we LOVE it!! It was worth it... although it was a ton ton of work, especially for Chris and Zoe :o)

Year Today & Kitchen is Done, done, & done
Today we celebrate our 1st anniversary!! Can't believe it has been already a year since our wedding... but on the other hand, it does seem like we have been in each other's lives much much longer... in a good way :o) And yep.... we still do love each other very very much... and we do have yet to see a big argument... not that I want to.... so far it has been a smooth sailing (lol as long as he doesn't touch my alcohol). As my friend Andi pointed out... if you are in a good relationship with the right person... it is just effortless... all the way through.. and you know what.. she is right.. I can't imagine being with anybody more perfect for me than my husband. I love our life together!!!
Alissa is Leaving
Yesterday we met up with Alissa, my friend who is moving to San Diego. Her husband is in the navy and got finally reassigned from Virginia down to San Diego, much closer to Alissa's family. They got married in Januray and so far have been able to spend only few days here and there together. I am very sad to see her go but I am hoping she will love it down there and make a great life for her and her family.

Teresa's 7th Birthday
This weekend we celebrated my niece's birthday. She has just turned 7. I told her not to grow but she still refuses to do so. I believe she said:"Mony... I can't help it, I don't have any control over it!" So scary how fast they grow! Now she can even ready her own birthday cards without Mom's help! Sorry just freaking out about missing all the precious time with her; she will be a teanager before I know it. They just moved up to Folsom so I dont' get to see them as often but I guess I just have to make more effort about driving up there while she still wants me to be part of her life.
On a different note... KITCHEN is finally getting closer to the end. All the functionality is there now we just have to do couple more the the pretty stuff to finish it off, then I will post some pics. I can't believe we survived ten weeks without kitchen. But we are both very happy with the way it turned out (thank God).
Another update... my very good friends Kamila & Frank just had their baby girl, I can't wait to see them all. I am so very happy for them I know Kamila has wanted a lil one for a long time.
Oh and tonight I am taking my husband to see a Czech movie - I served the king of England. Thank God he doesnt' mind reading movies :o). Hope it is good.
Also... new pictures have been posted on monikachris.shutterfly.com.

He finally made me do it!!
What is it that he made me do you ask?.... get the citizenship of this country. I know, strangely worded but... part of the agreement was that even though I am a citizen now I don't have to be an American. :o) (Yes, I am strange... but that's just how it is). So now I am Czech with an American citizenship. For better or worse... at least now they can't deport me for a DUI. I can hardly believe that it has been over ten years now since I've arrived in California. Wow, time does fly.
My friend Natalka end up getting her citizenship on the same day that I did so it was very nice to have a friendly face in the crowd. There was about 1500 of us... and about 80% of that were either Chinese or Mexican. I know... didn't see that one coming huh?
After the ceremony Chris took his parents and I for a wonderful brunch in Ritz just down the street. The weather couldn't have been better.
